Celtec Marine is made from rigid expanded foam polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material whose combination of features makes it ideal for wood trim and plywood replacement in boat manufacturing. Its closed cell structure does not absorb water and acts as a water barrier. Because of its staple pull and screw pull strength, Celtec Marine is ideal for applications in marine upholstery, seat backs, seat bottoms, trim for rough fiberglass openings, brackets, cabinets, draws etc.FEATURES AND BENEFITS Light weight- Celtec marine combines lightweight with strength to reduce weight in boat construction. Strength- Celtec Marine has a high strength to weight ratio that makes it ideal for many boat building applications. Superior workability- Celtec marine is easy to form, cut, glue, screw, nail, and staple. Flammability- Celtec Marine meets UL guidelines, is self extinguishing and has a flame spread of 20. Thermal conductivity- Celtec Marine is an excellent insulator. Weatherability and water resistance- Celtec Marine is durable and will not absorb water. Density- Celtec Marine is lighter than water and it floats. Safety- Celtec Marine is Lead, cadmium, barium and zinc free. Stability- Celtec Marine will not rot and it is cleanable and retains its color.
