Universal Wire Works ER309LSi Stainless Steel Bare Wire

This alloy is the same as ER309L, except for the silicon content. This silicon addition improves the washing and the wetting of the weld metal. If the dilution of the base metal produces a low ferrite or fully austenitic weld metal deposit, the crack sensitivity of the weld will be somewhat higher than that of a low-silicon content weld metal.Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
