Material Notes:

Universal Alloy X is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that possesses exceptional strength and oxidation resistance up to 2200 degrees F. Alloy X has been found to be highly resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications. This alloy is recommended especially for use in furnace applications because it has unusual resistance to oxidizing, reducing and neutral atmospheres. Alloy X is often used for welding on jet engine parts such as jet engine tailpipes, afterburner components, cabin heaters and combustion chamber liners.Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
