Material Notes:

A hard, black thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) family. This material has low friction and is especially designed for use as a co-extruded slip-coat layer on weatherstrip applications. It can be used as an alternative to spray-on slip-coat systems used in automotive weatherstrip applications. This grade of Santoprene 8000 TPV is shear-dependent and can be processed on conventional thermoplastics equipment for extrusion. It is polyolefin based and completely recyclable.Designed for applications requiring excellent wear resistance, excellent weather resistance or part surface with low friction factor.Co-extrudable with other olefin thermoplastic rubbers.Designed for excellent surface smoothness and flexibility as slip-coating material.Information provided by Advanced Elastomer Systems
