Struktol TR 041 Processing Additive

Oleochemical derivative with no metal ions.STRUKTOL® TR 041 is a fatty acid based additive designed to maximize the wetting to both a polar filler and a non-polar polymer. By wetting both surfaces, this material allows a quicker incorporation of additives into the polymer matrix; decreasing mixing times, melt temperatures and viscosity. This product contains no metal soaps and may be used where these are unacceptable. The acid value is quite low, so this compound may also be used where stearic acid is a problem. Specific viscosity improvements have been seen with high impact polystyrene (HIPS).
