Material Notes:
Product Description: PVC 673E is a fine particle, medium-molecular weight PVC homopolymer, made by emulsion polymerization. It is designed for the manufacture of plastisols exhibiting high viscosity at low shear rates with Newtonian flow characteristics at high shear rates with plasticizer concentrations of 40-60 Phr. Because of the low viscosity of PVC 673E pastes, this resin is recommended primarily for low plasticized applications (hard plastisol application). Plastisols made from this resin exhibit the following main properties:Low gelation temperatureLow plastisol viscosity at low shearLow plastisol viscosity at high shear (Newtonian)Ability to form stable plastisol at low levels of plasticizer (100 PVC, 50 DOP)Long shelf life, low viscosity agingLittle tendency to sedimentGood thermal stability with a range of standard stabilizersTypical Applications: PVC 673E has been developed for making plastisols of low yield points and low viscosity, agents. PVC 673E plastisols are ideal for chemical foams of very good quality with very regular closed cell structure, over a large range of oven temperatures. The main applications areCushioned vinyl flooringArtificial leatherInformation provided by SABIC.
