PBT is resistant against solvents, exhibits low shrinkage during shaping, and it is mechanically strong, heat resistant for temperatures up to 150°C, and can be reinforced for flame retardance. Tisester compounds display sufficient resistance against hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers, acids, and alkali solvents.
