Material Notes:

Cascade is a precipitation hardening steel which has won enthusiastic acclaim as a mold steel for injection molding of thermoplastics. Cascade is also an excellent choice for many zinc die casting dies because of its resistance to heat checking and wash. A further wide usage for Cascade is as a holding block material for die casting dies and plastic molds when high strength is mandatory.Information Provided by Timken Latrobe Steel.Timken sold Latrobe in December 2006.
