Material Notes:

The 90SB-3L alloy is the same as the 90SB-3 alloy with the exception of a restricted carbon content. Universal 90SB-3 is a 2.25% chromium and 1% molybdenum alloy for welding on steel of similar composition. This alloy is designed for joints in process piping systems, boilers, or pressure vessels. Weld deposits require preheat and postweld heat treatments for optimum mechanical properties.Information provided by Universal Wire Works for their line of welding wire and filler metal.
