Material Notes:
There are three types of epichlorohydrin:1. Homopolymers of epichlorohydrin. Designated CO.2. Chopolymers of epichlorohydrin and etylene oxide. Designated ECO.Terpolymers of epichlorohydrin, etylene oxide and a unsaturated monomer make it possible to vulcanize using sulphur. Designated GECO.PropertiesExcellent resistance to ozone and weathering.Good high temperature resistance.Reasonable low temperature resistance.Very low permeability to gases -- even better than Butyl rubber.Good fire resistance.Excellent elasticity.Resistance to Chemicals; resistant to hydrocarbon products. Their good oil resistance properties are very similar to those of medium to high Nitrile grades. Superior resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons. Reasonable resistance to alcohol, alkalies and diluted mineral acids. Limited resistance to most organic chemical products and are not recommended for use with oxidizing agents and chlorine. All information provided by Trelleborg
