Special polystyrene alloy for extrusion which combines very high impact strength and excellent chemical resistance to chemicals, oils and fatty foods. Koblend PD P 479 is mainly recommended as monolayer or as coextruded protective layer for refrigerator applications.Applications: Extrusion of sheets for refrigeration industry as monolayer or coextruded on ESCR-HIPS for the thermoforming of inner liners where HCFC-141b is used as blowing agent for the insulating PU foam.Koblend PD P 479 satisfies UL94 HB at 1.5 mm (internal test).
