Material Notes:

No. 5 clay is a kaolinitic ball clay containing low levels of carbon. It provides high suspension and plasticity to a variety of ceramic formulations and is an excellent source of Al2O3 content. No.5 clay is especially beneficial in refractory specialty products, high and super duty refractory brick (50 to 70% Al2O3).Information provided by Old Hickory Clay Company
