Material Notes:
Used for screw machine products requiring some cold formability (i.e. crimping, knurling)Applications: Alloy 3530 is used for screw machine applications requiring the ability to be cold formed either during, or subsequent to, machining. The material can be thread rolled, knurled, bent, flared, swaged or staked. Alloy 3530 exhibits somewhat better high temperature characteristic in relation to comparable (i.e. alloy 3450) alloys. Typical applications include builders hardware (drawer handles, pulls and hinges), industrial (screw machine parts, valve stems, flare fittings, couplings) and plumbing (fittings, faucet seats and plumbers' brass goods).Information Provided by Mueller Industries Inc.
