Material Notes:

ROVENEÂ® 4002 is a medium firm carboxylated styrene - butadiene emulsion designed to have good freeze-thaw stability and low odor characteristics, when used in trade sales coatings. When properly formulated, coatings based on ROVENEÂ® 4002 exhibit tight, continuous films providing the following performance advantages: (1) moisture vapor barrier properties, (2) enamel holdout at higher PVC's than conventional latexes, (3) superior cold temperature coalescence, (4) stability to alkaline substrates and (5) ASTM E-96 perm ratings of 0.5.APPLICATIONS: ROVENEÂ® 4002 is recommended for use in architectural coatings including flat wall paints and primer-sealers where low perm ratings are needed (1.0 - 0.5 perms).Information provided by Mallard Creek Polymers
