Material Notes:
Safety Precautions with Cadmium Containing Alloys: Today the potential danger from cadmium fume is widely recognized. The localized extraction of fumes during brazing is now virtually obligatory. The use of cadmium containing alloys is not permitted in the manufacture of food and drink handling equipment and medical instruments. If cadmium containing alloys are felt likely to cause a health hazard then use a cadmium free alloy from the Johnson Matthey Matti-sil range. Full details on exposure levels (OES) are given in the specific Material Safety Data Sheets. These should always be consulted before use of a cadmium bearing brazing alloy.Optimum Joint Gap 0.05 - 0.15 mm.AMS 4769AWS A5.8-92 BAg-1BS EN 1044 1999 AG302Federal Specification QQ-B-564 ViiEquivalent to Engelhard Silvaloy 45Equivalent to Handy & Harman Easy-flo 45Information provided by Johnson Matthey.
