Dow Corning Z-6595 SILANE

Dow Corning® Z-6595 Water Repellent is a silane/silicone resin concentrate that is dilutable in common solvents to formulate water repellents. When properly applied (using accepted water repellent application techniques), the formu-lated product will penetrate and provide water repellency by chemi-cally reacting with the substrate. Treated substrates become hydro-phobic while retaining their original appearance. The active ingredients in Dow Corning Z-6595 Water Repellent react with moisture to produce reactive hydroxy functionality. This functionality forms bonds to the substrate, reacting to cure and produce a hydrophobic treatment that inhibits water absorption.Information provided by Dow Corning
