With retained oxidation resistance for long periods under high temperature conditions, Chevron Turbine Oil TR has proven that it can provide longer oil service life and increased turbine uptime. The corrosion inhibition protects costly turbine shafts and gears from corrosion and rusting.Chevron Turbine Oil TR has excellent demulsibility to assure fast removal of water contamination. This allows it to maintain a high film strength coating on critical wear points of bearings and gear reducers.Foam inhibition prevents sump overflow and erratic governor operation.ApplicationsChevron Turbine Oil TR is recommended for use in gas, steam, and hydroelectric turbines and marine gear turbine sets.This oil has been successfully field tested in a Francis hydroelectric turbine.It is also recommended for reactor coolant pump motor bearings, and auxiliary plant circulating systems such as low pressure hydraulic applications.Do not use in high pressure systems in the vicinity of flames, sparks and hot surfaces.
