Tyfluor 1000 is a chemically modified version of PTFE that provides much improved sealing capabilities while maintaining the property characteristics consistent with virgin PTFE material. Tyfluor's chemical inertness and extremely low level extractables combined with its superior stress relaxation and low deformation characteristics make it an ideal gasket and seal material for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Clamp gaskets made from Tyfluor 1000 provide a much higher level of performance when compared to conventional PTFE products used in pharmaceutical and hygienic applications. They also perform better in applications with frequent thermal cycling or vibration.
