Material Notes:
TSE3940 and TSE3941 flame retardant adhesive/sealants are non-flowable, one-component RTVs that cure quickly by reacting with atmospheric moisture forming a soft elastic silicone rubber. These materials incorporate a newly developed crosslinking chemistry and are non-corrosive to metallic substrates. They are particularly well suited for electrical/electronic applications. These products differ in color and flame retardancy; TSE3940 is gray and UL94 V-0 rated, TSE3941 is white and is UL94 V-1 rated. When cured, they retain their elastomeric properties throughout the operating temperature range of -55C to 200C (-67F to 392F).Product Features: Meets the corrosion resistant requirements of MIL-A-46146AFast cure at ambient temperaturesOdor, slight alcoholOutstanding adhesion, including most plasticsOutstanding electrical propertiesResistant to heat, cold, moisture, UV, ozone and chemicalsProduct Benefits: One component, no mixing or de-airing requiredSoft consistency provides protection against mechanical and thermal shockExcellent electrical insulationProtects against moistureVarying viscosities allow thorough coating around complex assemblies (TSE399) and thicker coatings where required i.e., high voltage components (TSE392 & TSE397).Convenient packaging/dispensing tubes or cartridges.GE Silicones became a part of Momentive Performance Materials in 2006.
