Material Notes:

ROVENE® 4457 is a highly carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a firm hand with excellent strength properties. This binder is a low VOC containing latex that is crosslinkable with external crosslinking agents. ROVENE® 4457 can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays, and alumina trihydrate as fillers; sodium polyacrylate thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. ROVENE® 4457 imparts good tensile strength, and has good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces. This adhesion contributes to the good tuft binds and excellent delams in carpet applications.APPLICATIONS: ROVENE® 4457 is recommended for use in carpet and nonwoven backcoatings, and has found applications in the adhesive industry.Information provided by Mallard Creek Polymers
