Material Notes:
Introduction: Indium is a soft, silvery white metal with a brilliant metallic luster. It has a low melting point and a relatively high boiling point, therefore resulting in a low vapor pressure. It is ductile, malleable, crystalline and diamagnetic. In the electromotive series it lies between iron and tin. Indium salfamate is the preferred plating bath for indium.Uses:Surface protectionDecorative finishing on metals and plasticsSealing applicationsUse in aircraft bearingsElectrical interconnects in microelectronic devicesInformation provided by the manufacturer, Indium Corporation of America.
