The fiber surface has been treated to increase the interlaminar shear strength in a resin matrix composite.3000 filaments/strand, 99+% carbon assay, 6.5 µm filament diameter, 5.5 m/g yield, 16 tpm twist (also available untwisted), 0.1 mm² fiber area in yarn cross section.Thornel® products were sold by Amoco and are now owned by Cytec.
