Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM grease delivers value through:Good water resistance — Seals out water, reducing rust and corrosion.Extreme pressure protection.Protection against shock loading, extending vehicle life.Heat resistance with excellent high temperature properties.Good low temperature pumpability — Better low temperature performance means better handling in the container and grease-dispensing equipment.Molybdenum disulfide for additional boundary lubrication protection.Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM is a multipurpose, water resistant, extreme pressure, heavy duty chassis, wheel bearing, and general purpose lubricating grease.It is manufactured using selected highly refined high viscosity index base oils, a lithium complex soap, a 3% molybdenum disulfide ("moly") antiwear agent, plus oxidation and rust inhibitors. They are dark gray in color and tacky in texture.Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM is designed especially for extended service heavy duty construction and mining use. It was designed to provide longer life in pins, spring shackles, and other lubrication points particularly in off-highway equipment.Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM is recommended for use in applications requiring a Caterpillar Multipurpose Molybdenum Grease (MPGM) product. Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM strongly resists being washed out of bearings. It is stable and retains its consistency under adverse service conditions, and protects parts over long service intervals. Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM has outstanding film strength and adhesive properties which result in particularly effective protection in shock load and extreme pressure service. The antiwear properties of the grease are enhanced by the presence of 3% molybdenum disulfide.Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM is recommended as a multipurpose product for the lubrication of both onand and off-highway trucks, tractors, and heavy duty equipment, particularly construction and mining equipment.Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM provides:Excellent performance in all automotive equipment operating in severe service.Top protection to fifth wheels, king pins, wheel bearings, steering system bearings, and all chassis points including ball joints and universal joints./p>Texaco Starplex Moly MPGM performs well:In most heavy duty industrial applications - for general lubrication and for the lubrication of journal bearings, and low and moderate speed antifriction bearings.Under high temperature, wet, and dusty operating conditions./p>Typical test data are average values only. Minor variations which do not affect product performance are to be expected in normal manufacturing.Notes:Minimum operating temperature is the lowest temperature at which a grease, already in place, could be expected to provide lubrication. Most greases cannot be pumped at these minimum temperatures.Maximum operating temperature is the highest temperature at which the grease could be used with frequent (daily) relubrication.
