High volatility of the solvent ensures rapid evaporation, minimizing post-application dripping.Easy removal — Thin transparent oily film is readily soluble in petroleum solvent or kerosene to enable easy removal when required.Texaco Rust Proof Oil is a low viscosity, rust protective oil designed for the temporary rust protection of steel in covered storage or packaged shipment.It contains oxidation and corrosion inhibitors and is diluted with a petroleum solvent for ease of application.Texaco Rust Proof Oil is recommended for use as temporary protection of sheet steel, hand tools, small parts, bearings and highly machined surfaces under relatively mild conditions of indoor storage, packaged shipment or inter-process handling.May be applied by brush, dip or spray.Where a higher level of oily film rust protection is required, Texaco Metal Protective Oil L should be used.Where rusting conditions are severe, Texaco Rust Proof Compound is recommended.Typical test data are average values only.
