Material Notes:
Densified prior to graphitization, Grade CSX is an extruded graphite, higher in strength and lower in permeability than CS. It is a material for applications requiring higher densities, better mechanical properties, and less porosity than CS.Typical Applications:Casting molds and furnace parts for hot metalPowder metallurgyBoats and trays for sintering applicationsResistance heatingCrucibles for melting and alloyingQuartz processingRefractory Systems applications such as blast furnace and submerged arc furnace liningsTabular property data is typical.
