Name: HYDROXYPROPYL GUAR HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM CHLORIDECAS: 71329 – 50 – 5Soublility: Soluble in water, gives a clear solution upon acidification. Insoluble in alcholhols and oils.Available in: Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North AmericaApplications: Jaguar C-162 is a cationic derivative of Hydroxypropyl guar with good substantivity to skin and hair. Ideally suited for skin cleansing formulation, Jaguar C-162 provides an excellent skin feel and enhances foam sensorial attributes. In bath and shower gels, liquid and syndet or combo bars; confers protection and a soft feel to the skin. Jaguar C-162 provides moderate conditioning to hair, it brings excellent foam density, improves wet and dry combability and gives a pleasant soft dry hair feel. Jaguar C-162 has a moderate aqueous viscosity and excellent compatibility with anionic and amphoteric systems. It is suitable for transparent formulation for skin and hair conditioning including shampoo, hair & body shampoo, shower gel, body wash, bar and liquid soaps. Use levels: 0.1 – 1%Note : Viscosity develops slowly after Jaguar C-162 has been dispersed into water under stirring. More rapid viscosity development and hydration can be obtained by acidifying to pH = 3,5-5 (with citric acid for example).Information provided by Rhodia, Rhodia has been acquired by Solvay.
