Material Notes:
Lumiflon was developed by Asahi Glass in 1982, and is unique being the first solvent soluble fluoropolymer. The FEVE based Lumiflon has a alternative copolymer. The complete inter-changeability between the Fluoroethylene and Alkyl Vinyl Ether gives excellent weathering and a high chemical resistance. LF-200 is the general purpose product. The coating is used both in air dry systems and also in baking. It is being used to form the backbone of coatings for off shore oil platforms and as clear coat for plastic parts on cars and major appliances. LF-200 can be found in heavy duty applications such as bridges, plants and architectural exteriors.Information provided by Asahi Glass Company, Inc.
