Pyrolysis fuel oil is a mixture of higher boiling aromatic hydrocarbons, produced as a by-product during pyrolysis of oil fractions. It is a dark, viscous liquid with pour point approx. 15 °C. Pyrolysis fuel oil is classified according to EC Directives as a hazardous substance with carcinogenic components. Pyrolysis fuel oil is used as a raw material for manufacture of carbon black, it can also be used as a low-sulphur fuel oil.Information provided by Unipetrol RPA
