Unifrax PC Series™ 200 Paper Ceramic Fiber Filtration Media

PC (Porosity Controlled) Series™ Papers perform the following critical functions in all types of pyrotechnic automotive airbag inflator filters: (1) Provide efficient filtration of effluent gas by removing particulate matter through condensation and adhesion and mechanical entrapment. (2) Through the removal of high heat capacity particulate matter, these aluminosilicate filtration media significantly cool the gas stream before it enters the bag. (3) Consistently regulate gas flow into the bag ensuring conformance to the planned deployment sequence.These high flow filtration media are developed specifically for downsiized azide and non-azide inflators. These low resistance media concurrently provide exceptional cleanliness and output. As a result, the use of less propellant and smaller filters can reduce the size of an inflator 20 to 30%, which translates into an overall reducting in module size.
