Tra-Con Tra-Cast F353 Optically Opaque Casting System

TRA-CAST F353 is an optically opaque, low viscosity, two-part epoxy system recommended for molding, potting, embedding, encapsulating, sealing and casting applications involving fiber optic, optical, photonic and electronic products. It adheres to optical fibers, optical glass, ceramics, most metals, many plastics (including typical potting shells) and other materials. Although TRA-CAST F353 is an all liquid system with excellent flow and wetting characteristics, it contains no solvents and is easily mixed, handled and cured with minimum shrinkage at room temperature. When fully cured it is an electrical insulator with good impact and thermal shock resistance and is resistant to water, weather, gases, petroleum fuels and solvents, and many mild acids and alkalis.
