Material Notes:
LACQRENE® 1240 is a high molecular weight crystal polystyrene, used in the dilution of high impact grades of polystyrene such as LACQRENE® 7240 or clear impact polystyrene such as Finaclear 520. LACQRENE® 1240 is designed to give excellent processing characteristics in combination with LACQRENE® 7240 and to give excellent dimension ability and improved mechanical performance over conventional crystals. When used pure, LACQRENE® 1240 is processed by extrusion and inline thermoforming or injection molding.ApplicationClear/colored cups, Objects by dilution with CLIPS/HIPS by extrusion thermoforming. Foamed polystyrene trays, Shower screens, Products with excellent mechanical properties obtained by injection molding.Information provided provided by Total Petrochemicals.Total Petrochemicals includes former Fina and Atofina plastics product lines.
