Material Notes:
420 Quench Oil is ideal for high alloy steel and distortion-prone parts. It is a "medium-hot", accelerated quench oil used between 200° and 300°F for applications where distortion must be minimized with little sacrifice in "as quenched" hardness. 420 Quench Oil offers maximum quench control; it is oxidation-resistant, highly predictable and easy to wash off.
