Provides minimum maintenance and down-time, long engine life and economical operating costs.Texaco Taro 16 XD is a high performance medium alkaline diesel engine oil for medium and high-speed trunk piston diesel engines.Texaco Taro 16 XD is a 16 base number oil, blended from carefully refined high quality base oils in combination with a specially developed package containing alkaline detergents, dispersants, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, and antiwear agents.Texaco Taro 16 XD is recommended for the lubrication of medium and high-speed turbo charged and naturally aspirated diesel engines, operating on gas oil and marine diesel oil containing low to medium sulfur levels (up to 1.8%).Texaco Taro 16 XD is especially developed for marine and power generation applications. Texaco Taro 16 XD is highly suitable for applications which include a separator in the lubrication system. Texaco Taro 16 XD can be used in a multitude of applications such as reduction gears, air compressors, medium loaded gear applications, stern tubes, propulsion and auxiliary engines.
