Fields of application: Foils, films, fibers and extruded articles made from PP with a high surface/volume ratio.Examples: Foils, films, tapes, ropes, and filaments / fibers for carpets, non-wovens, furniture, automotive interiors.Mode of action and advantages: ADD-VANCE FR 243 provides excellent flame retardancy to thick PP products and articles with a high surface area like films, fibers and tapes. ADD-VANCE FR 243 can be combined with traditional halogenated flame retardants to give synergistic effects. ADD-VANCE FR 243 gives good UV protection.Advantages: Highly effective flame retardant system for polyolefins; Antimony-free system: no blocking of spinnerets or fouling of dies and spinning pumps when extrusion temperatures do not exceed 220 °C; Melt-blendable flame-retardant, allowing spinning of fine deniers; No limitations with regard to colourability. Very bright colors are possible, most of the time color recipes do not need to be changed for flame retardant products; Effective at low dosing levels, no interference with recycling; and Safe and easy handling, dust free, inherent low toxicity and no environmental impact.Information provided by ADDCOMP
